Tour Diary: Goa- The beginning : Nizamuddin to Thivim

The lush green blanket of life covering the land as far as the eye can see started my day off. The Konkan railway route one of the best displays of greenery with nature at its best. Moreover we have had a very good monsoon in these areas this year. You could see how each and every drop of the monsoon is of value when you see the tiny leaves shining brightest holding a droplet like a precious pearl. Sunlight offers the best brightness for us to witness a beauty right from the microscopic levels! If you keep looking at the scenes you will feel as if someone is trying to capture this in a picture using sun as flash for his shutter. The habitual expectation to see tall towers of bricks and steel slowly fades. Being habituated to live in concrete forests since so long; such stark contrast will hit you like lightning, making you forget the dust and rush of cities. You start to embrace the nature at its truest form. Suddenly the lonely feeling of being loner is crowd turn into the ...

Life as an Employee

Its been almost 2 years since I have been part of the group of "Employee" stepped from the sneakers of "Student". Seems like a long time ago since I have been part of this group. Life was much more spontaneous and fun filled with no state of complete awareness of plans after an hour in the day. Simply put, things have changed. For good or bad I am now accustomed to a routine of walking in and out of office with decreasing the fun by a bit everyday I do so. Times have been difficult to cope with, broke down a few times but as they say "Time heals all", I was able to get back in shape though each time a little lesser than before. All the high stake passions have settled into a well laid out blanket of dust all around my days now. I walk out each morning watching children play, I keep thinking when did I change into this office going routinely boring guy? Perhaps I was asleep when I was being pushed by life into this mold and just woke up to realize that its...

Happy 2nd first Day at HCL ;)

When I first came to know that I was doing to step into the boot of an employee very soon, I was preparing myself for a life completely different to what I was living. A new beginning from the end of student life, a life with financial freedom (although Dad never said “No” to my demands, but own earning is a different level of financial freedom) added responsibility of being an employee of an MNC. I was very certain of being relocated from Hyderabad. Had my bags up and ready for a journey to a new place with a new life style waiting to be discovered. As expected was called to Bangalore (now Bengaluru) and I set out planning a life in the traffic and all the rush of high class social and corporate living beings of IT Capital of India. Day 1: went on with never ending sequence of signatures. Day 2: a boring yet energetic half day.   Day 3: very excitedly I reached office and was having a nice time cracking jokes and making friends. As if somebody cursed the largest laughter in t...

Window seat to skies: My flight experience

3rd flight of my 23 summers, was a special one. Though not the first one but got my heart beat racing to higher 200s. When I was en route to board my first flight I had already gone though a lot of first flight instructions and experiences shared by others. But nothing works there, up the sky, 1000s of miles above the world. All you see is a constant company of clouds looking like frozen sea. The thrill of window seats keeps your eyes wide open during the takeoff which some described as one of the most difficult time of journey in flight experience after landing. You feel a sudden thrust take the plane forward. Before you could feel the thrust pushing you into your seat you start feeling weightless. Your brain sends out signals of being something you have never been like before, to the whole body. Right that instant the rush you feel is in-descibable by words. Excitement at its peaks for the first time flyers. Anyhow the uptake and slant flight keeps you dug into your seats. No matter...

HCL: The name itself is enough :P

November 7 2014, The day I was put into something much more responsible than I have ever felt, deployed! Directly into project. No pre training no assessment, no instruction spell. Just like a snap of fingers, SNAP and poof! Within the last 10 days I had already traveled from 3 three major cities in IT industry,Hyderabad to start and then Banglore (now Bengaluru) for reporting and for the final touch NOIDA (the farthest campus I could possibly be relocated to)in the extreme north, though we were again sent to another sector within NOIDA, anyway I reported on a Friday (Faad Friday) to sector 126 HCLT campus. Out of 4 of the options I was in, I got in voluntarily to work with the team I saw in front of me just a few minutes ago.3 members came from the team to meet me and I found them friendly. And like everything else in HCL project assignation also happened in nick of a time. Since then, till today I have occupied a seat among the team with a very warm welcome into their fa...

First things best things!

Day one, Bangalore! A new city, new beginning, new faces and a a lot of never before stuff. The big day was finally here. A Wednesday reporting at 8:30 sharp in the morning and I was off my marks as early as I could with my Sister-in-law. Drove a little over half an hour and reached the destination. Lot of best wishes meant a lucky day for me. I walked into the basement at the venue given, went on to the security desk to validate my joining and get a temporary ID. Moved in with a group of 139 other fresh faces as me into the basement of the complex where we were supposed to have our induction program. The day started off with an introduction by a member of "Team Discover"  (Sunita Mam), trust me she just talked us through the day effortlessly. After an hour and half we had a tea break and when we came back, members of EHS team was waiting for us and straightaway they gave an order of few documents and stuff we need to submit and then started one of the never before stuff ...

Happy New Year : Review!

Movie : Happy New Year Release Date : 24 October 2014 Starring : Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Jacky Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani Directed By : Farah Khan Music : Vishal-Shekhar (With Vishal in a special appearance in the movie) Lyricist : Irshad Kamil A typical Farah khan full length film with duration of a little over 179 minutes. The movie is star studded and I would say a very fitting act put together by all of them. Shah Rukh Khan will shine you out with his appearance and style, he is looking as fit and muscular ( more than ever before). Deepika looks fabulously gorgeous in the traditional outfit she wears when she meets the "Charlie's Angels" (Charlie-> Shah Rukh Khan). the movie is built on a very familiar English word "Vengeance". The plot is not a complex one to figure out. The roles were very well worn and torn by the cast. The typical Shah Rukh Khan stamp with extreme delicate emotional expression with perfect s...

Bang Bang: Review

Bang bang: The most awaited movie, starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. It has been almost a year since we last saw Hrithik on screen. The movie promised much more than it actully turned out to be. The movie is a very neat display of Hrithik's muscles and well built body. The movie already known is a remake of hollywood movie "Knight and Day" starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. The movie is reported to have collected over 100 Cr. The first half of the movie is kind of draggy and we can relate it to any other old slow paced movie trying to go on and mean something in the end. Hrithik looks fabulous as I already said and the work he did for the movie in the songs where we could see his feet moving like electricity in circuits. The dance moves are fabulous. The car used my Katrina looks pretty cool. Well the movie is not much to talk about and I was disappointed to see the movie turning out this way. Two songs were pretty good "Tu Meri" and "Meherbaan...

Tour Diary: Tirupati (11 July 2014)

Companions: Bhaskar Narasimham, Ramya Krishna and Pardha Saradhi. Day and Date: Friday 11 July 2014 Total Time elapsed: More than 12 hours.                                                         Friday July 11, I along with my sister and cousin reached Tirupathi. I had heard a lot about the temple and this was the first time I was going to visit it. I had no idea about the temple and the memories I was going to make. The place was so hugely populated that it took us nearly 10 hours to witness what is described as the most aesthetic view by many great poets, in words that themself are autonomous and could take you through a trip of the place within no time whilst you are reading them. Between the lines you wi...

Mixed Stuff

It's been sometime since have spilled a few words on paper, feeling a bit rusty but have a very awkward kind of feeling today so am writing this down. These lines express all I feel right now couldn't find more apt words am just soaked in mixed feelings right now as if I am in past and future at the same time. " Feel like am on top of the mountain, but not on it's peak. Feel like my journey has ended but am not at my destination. Feel like I have achieved something but I have nothing in hand. Feel like am moving too fast but world is crawling by faster. Feel like no words to say but nothing to hide!! "

Prelude: On My Way to Life (Continued)

Love a feeling of being complete because of another soul occupying your mind all the time. Feeling of a tickling in your ribs all the way, no matter whatever your age is and whatever you feel, it is special. You suddenly feel so powerful you could go days without food and sleep and keep talking all the time, may be on phones, in texts or chat boxes of current time. I too felt this way sometime back in my past and still got my meat fist beating inside occupied with the special feeling of magic. Nothing takes away the joy of stealing glances though. I must admit it love fills out the heart with a warmth, un-describable in words, un-expressable in actions and un-imaginable in minds! Quiet a few un's there, eh? Never mind, I am a poor reciter.  So coming back to where I left last time, my life-my wife has been a known entity to me since fifteen years, well it doesn't feel so long back ago to me as it sounds. We were back in the graduation level then. Those were days o...

Prelude:On My Way to Life

The bright shining sun was hurting my eyes, I could barely open my eyes. My upper story was completely shut down and could not even have a guess what time of the day it was. I was damn sleepy, so it was too early to wake up but the shining sun indicated it was late to arise. I could not feel any part of me except my chest which was fully covered with hair as soft as candy floss with an aroma of lemon may be or orange, whatever I was it was pleasing. I tried moving my hand and in the process ended up waking her up. There she was the face with the cutest of smiles on it with two eyes swollen like apples of Shimla. She had her eyes right into mine. "Good Morning", she said in the sweetest possible voice as if  rasgulla's were all she ate. "Good morning my love", I replied. She went on with her stretching of arms and legs, while I sat there trying not to be overwhelmed on having a dream of mine right beside me as I had wished. It has been a decade since we got mar...

On My Way To Life

So there it goes, the title of my first fictional writing. Am not sure about people liking it but I am writing it for my own sake and need to put on paper the way I think and to see if I could convince people that I could write stuff. I hope you like this story that I have titled as "On My Way to Life". A story of a boy "Nihar" as I mentioned in my past posts in the blog. Nihar is on a journey called life, as simple as that as all of us are. Whilst on journey he meets many people and many manage to make it to his personal space, only few through the door of his heart. The story about how he settles in for a girl, a girl not so like him Anvita. So a journey of ups and downs it is. I put together the words into a bunch to express enough give an impression of facing the story in front of you. You may feel it or not, I wish you do. I hope my words could manage that at least. Hope you enjoy reading and will try my utter best to be updated on the blog and keep posting re...

Anvita

Anvita, as simple as her name. A girl of independent thoughts. Much fond of memories and books since they don’t hurt as much as people do. Darling to her parents, who passed in a plane crash while she was in her primary schooling. Brought up in her uncle’s home with love and affection showered upon her like waterfalls, although no where comparable to her parents, her uncle aunt were no less to her. She is not known for speaking her mind out loud in front of everyone but for acting according to her mood and the way she accepted people. Coming to looks she had dark black eyes which could easily attract anyone with the sense of depth in them. She wore spectacles for near sightedness. Vegetarian in eating habits and freak when it comes to pulling peoples leg in practical jokes, which were restricted to people she knows very closely.

Nihar

So, the name of male lead in my stories. I have thought a lot and came to conclusion that this name would be the best. As the name suggest the hero looks very handsome and has a very good physical build with height of around 5 feet 11. He is just like a regular boy. He had very few people who disliked him. He is a regular find in modern days. Just like a boy next door. He is very open minded and accepts his mistakes when he committed any. He strongly believes that being truthful to people will push people to be the same with him. He could cast a magic spell on anyone with the words he used in his writings but could not speak a word from his mouth. He would listen and understand everything from the beginning but never spoke a word to any one on earth. No one knew why a mind with such extravagant set of words, could never force the mouth to spill some through it for the listeners sake. He was an average student in his school never popular in girls. He has a very silent na...

My First Writing Venture

I never had an idea that I could make a proficient writer. I never knew I could put the words together into a group so easily to express at least a fraction of what I feel. So I decided to put up a life into few more words. I decided to pen down my fantasy. I zeal to put forward a stream of emotions into a life. So that I could end things the way I want at least on paper. May be that way I could feel a bit happier than I do now. Nihar and Anvita. That's what I have decided to name my fantasy leads. A boy and girl foundation of every story as we know. Let's see how it goes!

Why did I vote?

Somebody today( 30 April 2014)  was pointing towards all the people walking out of the polling booth laughing and joking about the people who voted. I noticed carefully and found that they did not have the ink mark on their index fingers of either hands. They didn't vote. They seem to be from a class of people who firstly don't vote and secondly call the government names as if they have lost so much because of it. I wonder why do such people exist? A straight answer for someone who asked me why did i vote this time? I voted for a change, a in you, a change in me, a change in us. A change we need for a better tomorrow. A change to make us a better democratic republic then we are know as now. A vote, a single vote might seem to be of very less importance when seen on a macroscopic view, but when observed closely one vote could turn hell to heaven for many people. We not only posses the power to elect our leaders but also posses the power to make them work for us as a gratitude t...

Colorful colors

March 17, the day written in the book of my life with color splashes on it. It was the day of the festival of colors, Holi. This time around the day was very much special, and I was celebrating this after 3 years.  That takes me back to 1 March 2010, when we played holi in the campus in Kerala. Anyway past is not I want to pen down now, its the present that has got me so much in color to write this event down. It was a gathering of all my engineering buddies. We got together according to a plan and went on to meet as per a planned schedule. I am so damn sure that everyone would remember this day for a long long time. We all gathered at Deepthi's home in Vasanth Nagar, the colors started to fly around us in the air we were all pink and blue in no time. All we could make out was that we were all from the same class and we were all there to play holi. Color water eggs and what not made the day a bit more to cherish. dozens of eggs perished on heads. Everyone was so excited about the ...
